The growth of Premiership Touch Rugby has been phenomenal and during 2008 programme expects to see over 1,000 teams and 12,000 participants at venues across England, the biggest touch rugby tournament of its kind.

The growth of Premiership Touch Rugby has been successful in spreading the popularity of the game of rugby. Its non contact nature, social aspect, and low-time commitment have made it appealing to men and women who have work, family and social commitments but who enjoy exercising in a social environment. Premiership Touch Rugby and all Premiership clubs are working together to provide a fun social activity during the traditionally quiet summer months at rugby clubs around England.
